Long Time No Post

Well it's been a while since I posted an update, mainly because I've returned to work after 12 months maternity leave and what a shock to the system that was!

So, in the time that I've been getting back into work Guild Wars: Factions has been released and some of the Guild have even finished it! I have one Factions character at the moment, a Ele/Mes (my fave char combination) that is level 11 and still on the starter isle. I have however taken my Tyrian Ele/Mes level 20 over to Cantha and she is currently at the point where she needs to choose a Faction to side with.

There is a poll on the PCFormat Forum for you all to place your vote for either Luxon/Kurzick. Once the poll has been up long enough, or there is a clear winner then the Guild will join a faction and the fun will begin!

Roffles the Bear

The PC Format Forumites have taken on a delightful little bear named Roffles. We intend to send him on the trip of a lifetime and send him to spend a week with as many different forumites as possible.

Citrius Spies

Wondering what your industrious leader gets up to when others are not about? Well Citrius here sees all! Xyra teamed up with me to help me do some Sorrow's Furnace missions. It ended up with us leaving the group because they were never going to get out of Deldrimor War Camp, but that didn't stop Xyra pulling! New Cape!

Due to the number of people making comment about the cape design for the Guild it was decided to put democracy to the test and change the cape by having a competition to decide what design we would change to.

Guild members were asked to go to the Guild Embler and design a cape, take a screenshot and email it to the Guild address. After the designs were submitted a poll was created on the PCFormat Forum and it ran for a week. At the end of the week there was a clear cut winner and the change was made in time for the Guild meet tonight.

Announcement: GvG Teams

Hello.
To improve the overall enjoyment of those who are interested in the GvG part of our beloved game, we've decided to make some teams of set people/characters builds. This will mean that when you play GvG you will have a set team to play and you will know your role within that team. Because you will play with the same people you will hopefully improve and get a better game experience a lot quicker.

This doesn't mean that you can't have an impromptu GvG session or that you have to always play with the same people, but it will get you familiar with team builds and tactics.

If you do want to play more GvG it is important that you come to the Guild Hall on Saturday 11th February so that we can talk professions, builds and tactics.

IRC Channel now up and running!

Just a quick post to let you know we now have an IRC channel up and running - Guild members can drop in at any time and chat about anything that takes your fancy! If you already have an irc client, the details are as follows:

If you don't have an IRC client but fancy dropping in for a chat anyway, don't worry - I've set up an online Java client for you! Point your browser at http://pcffguild.no-ip.org/. You'll be asked to run a java application - click Run (it's perfectly safe), and you should find yourself connected straight through to the channel.

If for any reason you can't get the java client working, either send me an email or PM me on PCFF and I'll take a look for you. Enjoy!

Christmas Festivities

Well Christmas is almost upon us and thankfully I am ready and organised this year. It's going to be my baby's first Christmas so I'm pretty excited, even if she won't have a clue what's going on!

With this in mind I probably won't be around much over the holidays, and I expect some of you will be the same which is why I have suggested a Christmas Guild Meet for the 28th December at the Hall at 8pm GMT. We can wish each other merry Christmas and then get our arses kicked in GvG or HoH or whatever takes your fancy!

But if I don't see you over the holidays I'd like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I'd also like to thank you all for your contribution to the Guild. I am more than delighted with the way things are going and how friendly and helpful everyone is. Remember it's you who make the guild, so if you like it, you can thank yourselves!!
